I've just spent the bank holiday weekend installing a Lynteck Nexus 8 Alarm. Everything worked fine, walk tested, bellboxes & Quad PIRs. Then today I've been busy installing door contacts and Garage PIR. In the manual (page 20) Menus 1-8 Programming Zones it shows a table of zones and the relevent info for each zone.

I thought i'd be clever and rather than annoy the neighbours anymore than I already have with testing etc. I selected zone 00 (Alarm & Tamper circuits disabled)I then removed the Nexus panel cover & made the connections. Now nothing is working (even after switching off the mains spur and disconnecting the battery) The Green panel LED is on, and the bellboxes both go ff for about 3 seconds on reconnect. I can't get the keypad to light up, and the PIRs are not flashing. Any ideas how the get the alram back to default state. (the manual is about as much use as a handbrake on a canoe) Thanks P.S.

Just to be sure, I disconnected todays additions and checked my wiring, all OK. Edited May 1, 2006 by stanlee. Have you checked the AUX fuse with a multimeter to see if it has blown? Sounds like you have/had a short on the 13vdc line to the detectors/keypad, especially as the keypad is dead too.

If it is the fuse and it blows again when you replace it, you need to meter the power cables going to the garage passive to check for any short between positive and negative connections, and possibly the zone/tamper connections if you have stapled or nailed through a cable somewhere accidentaly Valentine Day Video Download Phan. .
